Tel 01700 811075 Alternatively, for a wonderful summer day out, catch the Portavadie/ Tarbert ferry [eg 9.45 sailing] and then 25 minutes drive down the Kintyre peninsular from Tarbert, catch the Gigha ferry from Tayinloan. No need to take a car to Gigha and there is a fantastic fish restaurant, The Boathouse, 5 minutes walk from where the ferry lands. www.boathouseongigha.com. 01583505123. Then catch the evening ferry from Tarbert back again. Strongly recommended on a fine day but do book The Boathouse. Normally open Easter to end of September. |
