There are many wonderful walks on the Cowal Peninsular the most famous of which is the Cowal Way - This waymarked trail runs for 57 miles/92 km across the Cowal peninsula, from Portavadie on Loch Fyne to Inveruglas on Loch Lomond. There are ferry links across Loch Fyne to the Kintyre Way and across Loch Lomond to the West Highland Way. From the cottages, you can walk along the coastline or over the hills, you can burn climb, and you will always have spectacular views and masses of alternatives to suit everybody. There are also spectacular gardens and arboretums in which to walk and wonder. It is difficult to pick out a few but we particularly recommend.
